graduation week

Hello beautiful people of the internet web.
I have some really freaking awesome news.

GRADUATION IS THIS WEEK.
IT IS FINALLY HEREEEE.
 I AM SOOO HAPPY.

Last Sunday was Seminary Graduation, which was really neat. I was actually the only one in my ward to graduate, crazy huh?!
Seminary ROCKS.
I cannot think of a better way for the youth of the Church to develop their spiritual strength and gain a testimony of their own than by going, participating, and receiving all of the glorious blessing that seminary has to offer.
This year in seminary we studied the Old Testament. Our theme for the year was Isaiah 41:10

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

POWERFUL.
I absolutely ADORE this scripture. It gives me such hope and reassurance that God is mindful of me ALWAYS.
One of my most favorite quotes from our prophet Thomas S. Monson is:

"Some of you may at times have cried out in your suffering, wondering why our Heavenly Father would allow you to go through whatever trials you are facing.
Our mortal life, however, was never meant to be easy or consistently pleasant. Our Heavenly Father knows that we learn and grow and become refined through hard challenges, heartbreaking sorrows, and difficult choices. Each one of us experiences dark days when our loved ones pass away, painful times when our health is lost, feelings of being forsaken when those we love seem to have abandoned us. These and other trials present us with the real test of our ability to endure."

May I just add that we do not have to endure our trials alone? That is the literally the entire reason for the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I am eternally grateful for the strength and overwhelming peace that the Atonement brings into my life.
"Fear thou not; for I am with thee."

okay, so back to what I was originally talking about, GRADUATION.
So the other day I handed out my graduation announcements as well as mailed them off to family and friends. WELLLL,,, after all was said and done I realized that they said graduation was on TUESDAY, June 2 when they were supposed to say THURSDAY, June 2.
Embarrassing, right? Yikes.
Apparently senioritis can become fatal enough that you put the wrong date on your announcements. Does that mean that I can graduate 2 days earlier??

!!SPOILER ALERT!!
Being a homeowner comes with responsibility.
Shocker, right?!
Even if you are just a "fill in" homeowner, you have responsibilities.

This weeks responsibilities included (but were not limited to):
1. Picking/pruning back 3 droopy fruit trees.
2. Mowing the lawn (his yard is HUGE, just for the record)
3. Remembering to water ALL of the house plants (there's like...17)
So far so good. Nothing is dead, so that's a good sign. :)

This past week I also had the great fortune of going with my sister to get her Patriarchal Blessing. She's a pretty incredible woman, let me tell ya.
Before she got her blessing, the Patriarch asked my parents and I to say why we love Drea (my sista).
After the blessing was over, the Patriarch pulled Drea and I to the side and said that he has never seen any sisters that are as good of friends as Drea and I.
AAAAWWW.
my heart.

I sure do love this silly little waggle.
**also, just as a side note, Drea and I totally binge watched Cupcake Wars before bed and stayed up WAYYY past our bedtime talking about funny words.**

Anywhooo. Here are some grad pics.
Wearing the gown makes me feel like I'm in a gospel choir LOLZ.

And in case you were wondering...
I'M STILL A HAPPY-AS-A-CLAM DOG MOM.

DOG MOM

Thankfully this furry friend of mine shared "her bed" with me last night. I'm not even kidding when I say that we slept like a jigsaw puzzle.

It seriously feels so great to have all of my stuff in one place. I'm definitely not all the way moved in, but at least I have all of my shoes back...haha. Packing up my Jesus sandals early was like the biggest mistake of my life!!

Anyway, now that I'm (mostly) all moved in, I get to take care of 3 little pooches. I AM A DOG MOM NOW. *insert heart eyes here*

Pretty much all of the pictures that I take now are of my dogs.. I'm sure that my friends and family will be SUUUPPPER annoyed of me sending them selfies with my dogs. lolz.

This picture is actually pretty funny because "Black Velvet" is a whisky brand. We got a bunch of boxes from a bar or something, so more than half of my boxes are alcohol brands. HA!

Even though I literally have boxes covering my entire room, at least my bed is made and my clothes are color coordinated (PLEASE tell me I'm not the only one that does this).

There will definitely be more posts & pictures of these doggies, so prepare yourself for cuteness overload.

This weeks adult fail:
1. I accidentally bought 2 conditioners. Needless to say, I didn't wash my hair for like 5 days, but I did condition it. That sorta counts, right?
2. I forgot to bring a razor with me when I moved and I was so busy and didn't have time to go to the store, SOOOO... I just barely shaved my legs today...after like a week. Talk about deforestation.

Adulting (kinda)

As most of you already know, I am going to move out next week and live in my grandpas home while he works in Yellowstone over the summer. I'm super pumped for this opportunity because I will be able to be a "practice adult." (like, I won't have to pay the bills, but I will have to learn that food doesn't just make itself. Ya catch my drift?)

So yesterday I bought the cutest duvet from Ikea. (it's in the background of this pic. cute, ya?) You can't tell from the picture, but it really is black & white...

This week was the last day of preschool. *insert violent sobs*
I'M SO SAD GUYS.
The "official" last day that I get to see my kids is at graduation and you better believe I am going to be crying my eyeballs out.

I'm pretty sure that this laffy taffy explains my entire high school life. amirite?

Okay. I just go so off topic. I obviously cannot "adult" very well.
Here is a screenshot of my phone. I'd like to draw your attention to the blue little stick-like tree app called Rachio. THIS IS THE BEST THING OF MY LIFE.
it's the app for my sprinklers. how epic is that? I CAN CONTROL WATER.
THIS APP LETS YOU HAVE SUPERPOWERS.
This app is pretty much like the best part of being an adult.
As I previously mentioned, I will be moving into my grandpas house while he goes to Yellowstone so this app lets me control the sprinklers at his house. Which means that I currently have the ability to wig him out by randomly turning on his sprinklers... not like I've done that or anything...

On a more crappy note, a bird totally diarrhea-d on my car while I was at work.
The worst part about this whole ordeal is that I still haven't washed my car...and its been like a week...

ANNNNNDDD...
as for my future hubby...

I've still got a blank space ;)

Park Citaaay

For starters, this is exactly what I look like right now. Except we look a lot less chipper and we are watching the Food Network. Ha. Real life folks.

For dinner on Friday night, we went to a place called Sammy's Bistro.
When we first got there we almost didn't go in because it looked a little sketchy, but it was so delicious! It definitely had an authentic Park City vibe.

After dinner I made Hanna go walk around Historic Main Street with me. It was a BLAST! Isn't she just the cutest human ever? I sure do think so!

OK. So after walking around Main Street we went hot tubbing and then came home and watched A Walk To Remember. WELLL,,, midnight rolls around and Hanna and I start talking about how much we want a Jimmy Johns sandwich. We had also just been talking about marriage so our conversation went something like this...

Dall: "I hope I marry someone that compliments me like a cucumber compliments a hot pepper."
Ham: "I will definitely be the hot pepper in that relationship!!"

1:12 am--Hanna googles the music video for "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic. And yes, she sang along.

*Hanna scrolling through Pinterest* "I don't know what that is...but I want to eat it!"

On Sunday we woke up, went to church, and then went and walked around some little art museums on Main Street. We went to the cutest little shop called Mountain Town Olive Oil.
It was so tasty! We just walked around and mixed balsamic vinegar and oils together and dipped bread in it. Our favorite blend was a wild mushroom & jalapeno balsamic. Sounds pretty gnarly, but it was surprisingly really tasty!

Even though we were only here for like a day and a half, it was definitely a much needed break! We both agree that we feel like we can conquer the rest of senior year now!
