OK friends, get ready for lots of pictures, because that’s mostly what this post is going to be. sorry, not sorry.
I FLEW TO WASHINGTON…. ON MY OWN!!!
Golly gee! It was so invigorating to fly somewhere by myself and actually be relatively calm. I am not the biggest fan of airports (they actually frighten me quite a bit) and so the idea of flying by my lonesome was a little sketchy.
But I still did it and it was fan-freakin-tastic!
I stayed in a beautiful town between Redmond and Duvall called Carnation. (You know, like Carnation Evaporated Milk? Same place.)
My great aunt and uncle live in Carnation, so I was able to stay with them for 10 days and have them play tour guide for my entire stay! It was great!
On the first day there, I went to the Seattle temple to do baptisms for the dead. This is definitely one of my new favorite temples! Just look at it!?
My aunt also took me on a 23 mile mountain biking trip. Wowza. Kudos to all those cyclists out there… I am not a cyclist, I am a wimp.

But despite my weak physique, the ride was delightful and I was in such great company! We rode from Carnation to Snoqualmie Falls. Wowza again. Snoqualmie Falls is absolutely stunning and I love it so much.
While on this dandy little trip I tried MANY new foods. Indian, Thai, Greek, and SEAFOOD! Basically, I feel so cultured now in the realm of food because I tried so many new and delicious things!
Other things were more familiar, but still cute nonetheless. For example, there is a restaurant near my aunts home called Blake’s. We ate here 2x for lunch, cause it is just that rad.
Speaking of food, I went to SkyCity and had dinner. SWOON. The view, food, and company was so fantastic and I am so glad that I went! The world really does revolve around me! (At least it does there ;)

| Chicken. And asparagus? idk what this is actually called, but it was good! :) |

While everyone eats their dinner and takes pictures like insane tourists, they will also put sticky notes on the windows and when the sticky note comes around to your table, you can write a message on it. (The floor moves, not the windows, ya feel?) I sent around a card and had people sign it!
The Gum Wall, Ew ew ew. This is like the grossest tourist attraction ever. But of course I couldn’t pass up the great opportunity to chow down some gum and stick it on the wall of spit and DNA. yum.
I ran a 5K on the 4th of July. When I say “ran” I mean “sped walked in an awkward running fashion.”
Pikes Place Market is pretty stinkin adorable. And loud. But still awesome. It smells like fish, there is like a million people trying to take videos of guys throwing fish and the farmers markets give out the best samples. I’d give it a 5 star rating and 2 thumbs up. :)

My favorite place? The Warf. Why? Because, look.

| Seattle from a boat? Check! |
 |
| Fun Fact: 1% of Seattle's taxes goes towards art in the area. |
 |
| I went to the Ballard Locks and watched boats go from freshwater to seawater. Sounds so exciting, I know. |
 |
| The wild hair was well worth the beautiful ferry ride. |
 |
| Let's say you take a ferry ride to Bremerton and back to Seattle. This is what you would see. I think I'm just slightly obsessed with this city. |
 |
| Whenever we drove into Seattle, my heart would skip a couple of beats. There was something about looking across the water and seeing the insanely tall buildings and then seeing the Space Needle. Who's down to move to Washington with me?? |
 |
| But, alas, all good things must come to an end. Until next time Washington! |
