“Marriage is one giant date, choose your date wisely.” -Bro Dalton

After we made our lists and talked about why these attributes are important to us, he told us that we need to BECOME THE KIND OF PERSON THAT WE WANT TO MARRY.

The gospel is truly the best way to a happily ever after. I’m so grateful for the example that my parents are to me and for their eternal marriage. I am continually amazed by the Lord’s knowledge and timing. Many times I will have questions or trials in my life and the Lord puts the exact person in my life who says the exact words that I need to hear. Even more often, I receive answers to my prayer while in seminary.
The Lord is all knowing and will sometimes give me an answer BEFORE I have a question. Sometimes I will have a YWs lesson on a specific topic and later that week I will recognize why I had that lesson.
I feel so incredibly blessed to have the knowledge that my Savior knows me, INDIVIDUALLY. The Lord is real. He really does answer our prayers. He knows our hearts and is a lover of our soul. HE IS THE PERFECT MATCHMAKER, SO TRUST IN HIM.

Currently, on October Twenty Fifth

// october fourteenth, twenty fifteen //

To say that this week was difficult would be an understatement.

After missing school on Monday to attend my dear grandmas funeral, I had SO MUCH HOMEWORK TO MAKE UP. I felt so overwhelmed and stressed out to finish my assignments and get all of the notes that we had taken.
I feel like people are always telling me"oh, you're a senior this year? Senior year is always so much fun!" Fun? Ha. Yeah right. Not this week Satan.
There is so much pressure put on high school students to get good grades, do well on the ACT, study for your classes, be involved in their school activities and clubs, volunteer, have a job, go to school dances, go to sporting events, stay on top of their homework, have family time, get 8 hours of sleep each night, be involved with their church and/or community service, writing essays for scholarship money, applying to colleges, dating, & the list goes on for what seems like forever.

STOP THE GLORIFICATION OF BUSY.

Now, I'm sure it seems like all I have done is complained about how hard my life is, but that's not the point of writing this. I really loved Elder Uchtdorf's talk about simplifying our discipleship and our lives. Even though focusing on school is important for our personal progression, we need to recognize the blessings in our lives. We must learn to be grateful in all of our circumstances, whether they be good or bad.
I find such great peace in knowing that I have a Father in Heaven who is all knowing. He has a plan for me and for you. IT WILL ALL WORK OUT. TRUST in His divine plan. If we make the Lord's plan our plan, our lives will significantly improve as we truly see the Lord's hand and guidance working in our lives.

Prayer is the best medicine for our anxious and imperfect hearts. He is there for us 110% of the time. He loves you perfectly and wants to see us happily learn and progress.
